Dear Science

Dear Science,

Do you ever stop to think about how far we’ve come in the world of science and technology? Phones, medicine, the internet, electricity, modern transportation… It’s all so beautiful and honestly amazing. To think that all of this may have started from something as simple as discovering fire to keep warm or learning which plants were safe to eat.

When I think about modern civilization, it genuinely takes my breath away.

I think that as long as humanity continues to pursue science and curiosity, our voices will reverberate throughout history. Every discovery, every invention, every experiment becomes another mark we leave behind. Now imagine if we all worked together. What a thunderous voice humanity would make.

There is still so much left for us to do. So many diseases that could be cured. So many discoveries waiting to happen. New technologies, new medicines, new ideas, even new foods and drinks. The potential of humanity feels almost unlimited sometimes.

That’s why we cannot let curiosity die.

We cannot allow people to slow down science and research by diverting resources toward destruction, fear, and conflict instead of progress and discovery. Science requires peace, collaboration, time, and investment to thrive.

And honestly, curiosity is one of the most natural things about us. All animals possess some level of curiosity, but humans turned that curiosity into civilizations, medicine, telescopes, and space travel. That flame will not be easily snuffed out.

In the end, I believe deeply in the power of science and in the progress that comes with it. So embrace it. Be brave. Share your ideas. Try something new, even if it fails, even if it makes you sweat, cry, or doubt yourself.

Because science is worth it.

And as my favorite character would say:

“This is exhilarating, get excited!”
